Just put 7.04 on a old (P4, yadda, yadda) compaq, with Hauppague-PVR 150, and 250GB HD, for my new MythTV DVR! the feisty fawn install was smooth (athough I wasn’t really paying attention and I think i missed the place where I could custom install, that is, it just installed, and i never got the chance to pick development packages, etc., oh well, apt-get works great.) Oh and if you haven’t built the DVR yet (see your new year’s post) the MythTV-ubuntu set up seems to work.
