Sharks 2, Red Wings 2
The Sharks won on Monday, but lost on Wednesday, so the series is tied up again. The Sharks don’t seem to be able to score more than 2 goals against the Red Wings. In fact, they have scored exactly 2 goals in each of the four games of this series, win or lose. Their next game is on Saturday in Detroit. Go Sharks!
On Tuesday I went out with Ashish to look for a bar showing the Canucks vs. Ducks game, but we didn’t have much luck. We ended up at BJ’s Restaurant in Cupertino. They had the Warriors’ game on, so we watched the end of that (Warriors lost), then saw the end of the Canucks game (Canucks lost). Even though the sporting aspect was pretty much a waste, I did find that I really like their Harvest Hefeweizen. I haven’t had a wheat beer I liked this much since Celis White (which shut down in 2001 although it is now brewed by the Michigan Brewing Company).
The College Division I and II rugby championships are this weekend at Stanford University. I’m hoping to see a couple finals on Saturday. The following weekend Stanford will host the IRB North America 4 tournament, but I will be in Florida at that time. This is a 4 team tournament, two from the US and two from Canada. It’s a bummer that I won’t have a chance to see the matches.
As mentioned above, I’m heading to Florida next week. I’m going for my nephew Nick’s first communion (he’s my godson after all). I’ll be there May 8-15. By the way, happy birthday to my sister-in-law Kathy! See you next week!
