Early Easter Egg
We got an early Easter egg in San Jose. Yesterday, Clara, the female peregrine resident of San Jose City Hall, laid her first egg of 2008. I hope this is the first of a nice, healthy clutch for Clara and Carlos. If you want to follow their progress, check out the Santa Cruz Predatory Bird Research Group’s Nest Cam.
In related news, Glenn Stewart of the SCPBRG will be giving a presentation on falcon recovery at the San Jose Library. Glenn may have a captive, educational falcon with him for the discussion. After the presentation, check out the falcon photo exhibit on the 4th Floor of the library. One of my photos will be on display along with others from local professional and amateur photographers. The photo exhibit should run for a couple months. There is also a scope on the 8th Floor for viewing the City Hall peregrines.
