My name is Ed. I was born in the 4th largest city in Pennsylvania, otherwise known as Erie, PA (it used to be the third largest). I am the youngest of 7 (3 brothers and 3 sisters). I spent my formative years in South Florida, went to college in Pittsburgh, PA and now live in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

I’m very fond of wildlife and the great outdoors. I like to travel, and most of my trips revolve around wildlife. I’m a (very) amateur photographer, again with a primary focus on wildlife. A lot of my blog revolves around travel and wildlife.
I worked for many years in engineering, mostly in semiconductors. Now I’m interested in the use of technology to improve the environment. I’m working on a clean tech start up company as well as a blog called GreenValhalla. I also dabble in web sites and various other geeky pursuits.

I started to blog as a means to communicate with friends and family. I expect my typical viewership is around 2 people, but I just keep on blogging…
